摘要：This paper investigates the long-term effects of early childhood immunization. We exploit quasi experimental variation from a national immunization program targeting children under age one in China. We find long-term gains in health among children born after the implementation of the program. We further find the spillover benefits of eligible children’s health on the human capital of older siblings in the household. However, human capital spillover effects accrue exclusively to their ineligible brothers. These spillover effects are increasing if older siblings are younger when the program was initiated and in the education of parents.

主讲人介绍：赵丽秋，中国人民大学劳动人事学院副教授，国家发展与战略研究院研究员，研究领域为劳动经济学、发展经济学和应用微观计量。其在Journal of Comparative Economics、Journal of Population Economics、Regional Science and Urban Economics、Social Science and Medicine、Health Economics、Labour Economics、《世界经济》等国际国内主流经济学期刊发表英文论文十余篇。她还主持过国家自然科学基金和教育部人文社会科学研究基金等多个项目。
