摘要：On the road of the common development of Chinese cultural inheritance and human capital, the core factor is to promote education, and improving human capital through education plays a decisive role in promoting economic growth. In this paper, we estimate the long-term impact of the commercial culture in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and the Republic of China on human capital. The results show that commercial culture has a positive influence on contemporary human capital, and the influence is affected by the imperial examination system culture. The more prosperous the imperial examination system culture is, the positive influence of commercial culture will be weakened. We further finds that commercial culture has a positive impact on family education intergenerational mobility.
